The wait is finally over. Nihil Zero officially releases today January 23,2026, and it’s already shaping up to be one of the most talked-about Pokémon TCG sets in recent memory. With its darker atmosphere and powerful Mega cards, this expansion feels like a clear shift in direction — and fans are already diving in.
At the core of Nihil Zero is Mega Zygarde, the undeniable face of the set. As a Pokémon that symbolizes balance, judgment, and overwhelming power, Mega Zygarde fits the theme perfectly. Its presence defines the set both visually and mechanically, making it the main gold chase card everyone has their eyes on.
Just like previous releases, Nihil Zero M3 is packed with ARs and SARs that are guaranteed to elevate any binder. On the cuter side, we have cards like Clefairy 086/080 and Dedenne 085/080, while fans of edgier artwork will appreciate pieces such as Doublade 091/080 and Raticate 092/080.
Moving into the SAR lineup, reactions to Mega Starmie ex have been mixed. Its Mega form sparked plenty of online discussion, with some fans joking that it looks like Starmie just grew legs — almost like someone is cosplaying as the Pokémon. Jokes aside, Mega Starmie ex 111/080 delivers one of the most dynamic artworks in the set, firing a nebula-like beam across the battlefield. There’s also Mega Clefable ex 112/080, which many fans believe is intentionally connected to the Clefairy AR. Paired together, the two cards are undeniably adorable and a must-have combo for collectors.
Saving one of the most exciting reveals for last — fans may remember Marshadow 069/063 from Mega Brave M1L, where a small part of Pikachu’s head could be spotted in the artwork. In Nihil Zero, excitement is building around the Trainer card Rosa, the main female protagonist from the Unova region. The artwork shows her enjoying a Pikachu ice cream, instantly making this card a must-have for Pikachu fans and collectors alike.
